Shrubs originated in colonial times when fruits and vegetables were preserved with vinegar and herbs, resulting in a thirst-quenching, complex drink. Shrubs can be used in both non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails. Stockholms Bränneri has created non-alcoholic Shrub Soda drinks from their favorite combinations of fruits, berries, vegetables, and herbs and canned them.
